TREO’s Take on Cincinnati’s Hot Neighborhoods

Every neighborhood in Cincinnati boasts its own charm but over the past couple of years, these three neighborhoods in have consistently been regarded as top real estate destinations due to their vibrant communities, amenities, and unique charm.

Over-the-Rhine (OTR)

Taproom at Rhinegeist Brewery

One of Cincinnati’s largest neighborhoods, known for its historic architecture, vibrant arts scene, and an array of trendy restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Home to Washington Park, Music Hall, and Findlay Market -  offering a great mix of cultural, culinary, and recreational activities.

Things to Do: Enjoy a variety of eateries from comfort food classics at The Eagle to the exquisite service at Colette. OTR is also the place for craft beer lovers! Rhinegeist Brewery offers a variety of beers and the rooftop provides stunning views of the city. Beer lovers can also take a guided tour of the historic lagering cellars under OTR & learn more about the city’s brewing past. If beer isn’t your thing, there is even a winemaker in the neighborhood that sources grapes locally and all over the world and makes their wines right here, called Revel OTR.

TREO’s Take: OTR has seen significant revitalization, with many historic buildings being renovated into modern condos and apartments, making it highly desirable for young professionals and urban dwellers. Its proximity to downtown Cincinnati also adds to its appeal. Property values have seen a steady increase, which reflects the neighborhood's popularity and the limited availability of renovated historic properties. Over the last year, the average sale price in this neighborhood is $368,556 and 34 days on market is the average. The electric atmosphere continues to contribute to this neighborhood’s growth. Buyers looking at Over-the-Rhine will enjoy a walkable lifestyle with something to do for everyone!

Hyde Park

Park at Hyde Park Square

An upscale, family-friendly neighborhood with a mix of historic homes, tree-lined streets, and a strong sense of community.

Things to Do: Hyde Park Square is a standout attraction with a variety of boutique shops, cafés, and restaurants. Various events and farmer’s markets are hosted here during the Summer months as well. Ault Park is another local favorite where you can enjoy scenic views, picturesque picnic spots and various walking trails.

TREO’s Take: Hyde Park remains one of Cincinnati's most sought-after neighborhoods, with steady demand for its charming homes and excellent schools. Despite the competitive market, properties in Hyde Park tend to retain their value well, making it a sound investment for homeowners. Whether it’s young professionals, growing families, or retirees, Hyde Park is a preferred location for those seeking a balance between city living and suburban tranquility.

Within the last year the lowest sale was $158,000.00 and the highest was $3.2 Million, however, the average sale price for this area is $772,533.00 with most homes sold within 2 weeks. Of the 35 homes currently on the market in Hyde Park, only 12 are still available and ½ of those are brand new! It’s safe to say that real estate in Hyde Park is thriving and buyers looking to move to this area can expect to pay top dollar and move quickly to snatch up one of these homes to take advantage of all that this area has to offer!

Mount Adams

The Cincinnati Art Museum

Perched atop a hill overlooking downtown Cincinnati, Mount Adams offers stunning city views, a quaint village feel, and vibrant nightlife.

Things to Do: Eden Park is a beautiful 186-acre park that includes the Cincinnati Art Museum, Krohn Conservatory and Playhouse in the Park. Popular foodie restaurants include the Bow Tie Cafe, Luca Bistro, City View Tavern which overlooks the Ohio River and The Blind Lemon - a hidden gem located in the heart of Mt. Adams.

TREO’s Take: The unique location and scenic views make Mount Adams a premium neighborhood known for its eclectic mix of historic homes, modern condos and luxury apartments. Properties in this neighborhood often sell quickly and at premium prices, underscoring the desirability and limited supply of real estate in this iconic area. Whether it's young professionals, empty nesters, or anyone seeking a lively, upscale community, Mount Adams continues to be a top choice in Cincinnati's real estate market.

Only 18 homes sold in Mt. Adams over the last year and the average sale price was $975,856. There are currently 12 homes listed for sale in Mt. Adams so inventory is low. Buyers interested in moving to this neighborhood should be ready to act quickly when the perfect home comes along!
